Countryside Guided Walks

Bury Sport and Physical Activity Service have teamed up with the Greenmount Village Community Walking Group to deliver a series of Free Countryside Guided Walks.

These guided walks take walkers up into the hills covering areas of rural Bury including the West Pennine Moorland villages of Greenmount, Hawkshaw, Affetside, Holcombe and Ramsbottom.

You can find more details of these walks through visiting

These walks vary in duration and start at approximately 5 miles up to 10/11 miles in distance depending on the walk.

If you’d like to take part, all you have to do is come along to the start point of one of our walks a few minutes early, so one of our trained walk leaders can take your details.
