Freedom Church

It’s 10:00am, there’s a smiling face on the car park, who’ll help you find a space. The front door is open, a warm welcome to church is waiting for you, the kettle’s on and the coffee’s freshly brewed in our coffee shop, ‘Home’ serving Nespresso coffee and Teapigs tea, along with a selection of tasty baked goods and cold drinks.

The atmosphere is fun and relaxed. People of all generations fill the space, talking life. If you have children, our amazing kids team will help get them registered for their very own kids programme that runs during the service. There’s always someone around to help.

At 10:27am the countdown begins ready for our 10:30am start, the lighting changes and the worship team lead us in powerful praise, there’s a great atmosphere in the room as people sing of an awesome God, faith builds as we celebrate and pray together. There’s always space for people to respond, we see and hear of people’s lives who have been changed for the better on a weekly basis. We create an opportunity for people to bring their tithe and give their offering, and let you know what’s coming up in the life of Freedom Church, all before we throw open the doors again to ‘Home’. You’ll also be able to collect your children after the service. It’s not unusual that people stay around, soaking up the atmosphere and socialising, and of course we’d love to have the opportunity to say hi.

Every Friday night from 7:30-9.00pm Freedom Youth runs for ages 11 - 18. It's a free entry event where young people will get the chance to connect with friends, grow in confidence and learn life skills. These nights are incredible and are a mixture of fun games and activities including XBOX One, Games tables, team games & competitions as well as a fully stocked tuck shop.

Alternate Wednesday's for the same age group, the youth team provide a support cafe. Where 11-18's can go for advice, complete homework and assignments, speak to someone about career choices all in a relaxed environment. Partly funded by the GMP the youth cafe has internet access and print facilities that young people can access free of charge.

Our food bank project, 'Food Glorious Food.' Bringing hope through generosity. Food Glorious Food provides food parcels for those in need and struggling to make ends meet. The resource can be accessed through a referral process and is established on the generosity of the church and local community providing food and essential health care items for families who are going without.

Freedom Kids runs every Sunday during the main church service. Alongside this, Freedom Kids are well established in the town for running incredibly successful Summer Schemes. The last 5 events have all been fully booked with a waiting list. Next year's event is set to be no different and tickets are available only through the online booking form.
