#LoveBuryEast Neighbourhood Roadshow - Love Bury East

Thank you so much for joining us at our Love Bury East Neighbourhood Roadshow on Saturday 17th September 2016. The event was really successful in its aim which was engaging with the residents of Bury East to talk to us about what’s great about their neighbourhood and how we can work together to make it better.

Your support on the day was essential for the event to take place and so we are really grateful for your participation. We hope that the event was beneficial to everyone who attended.

Please feel free to email any comments or feedback about the event to us, using the address below, as these will help us shape the way do things in the future.

Special thanks to the event's sponsors as follows:

  • Unison, Bury Branch
  • HM Forest Bank
  • Paul Smedleys Fruit and Veg
  • Zens Fruit and Veg
  • B. Iddon
  • Wards Fruit Market
  • Willis Bros
  • Delicious at the Fusillers

Three community groups went up against our judging panel in ‘The Pitch’ – Bury East’s chance to win up to £1000 to fund a community project. As all three pitches impressed our judges so much it was decided that the £1000 prize money should be split three ways. We are therefore pleased to announce that the winners were as follows:

  • ADAB
  • The Bethany Project
  • The Asian Women’s Centre

Lots of people ‘rose’ to our Bury East Bakeoff Challenge but there was clearly one winner that our special guest judges, The Mayor and his Consort, really thought put the icing on the cake!

  • 1st Place – Erin and Hannah
  • 2nd Place – Sarah Fish
  • 3rd Place – Betsy

Congratulations to the Consultation Zone prize winners! The £200 of vouchers have been split four ways. The four winners randomly selected to receive a £50 voucher each are as follows:

  • George Rimmer
  • Sharon Branagan
  • Georgina Daintry
  • Nayeba Naz

Congratulations to all of our winners and thank you for all your contributions towards our first community day.
