Abuse can happen to anyone of any gender at any age. It is vital that any victim of abuse knows their rights and gets any help or support they may need.
It is important to support a family when domestic violence is involved. This could include any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive or threatening behaviour, violence or abuse. This also includes so-called honour based violence, female genital mutilation and forced marriage.
You do not have to wait for an emergency situation to find help. If domestic abuse is endangering you and your families' safety, it's important to tell someone and remember you're not alone.
