About this service
Bury Lions Club was formed in 1967 by local businessmen and friends, to serve a need that was felt by many in the Bury area, and for many years organised the annual Bury Lions Carnival Sadly our Carnival is now a thing of the past, as are a lot of other events of a similar nature.
We are part of Lions International, established in 1917, and now the world's largest voluntary service organisation Since 2019 we have organised a 'Walk-4-Sight' and this is now an annual event, in October, and we invite entrants to donate to Lions sight-related projects and to raise funds through sponsorship for their own charity or worthy cause.
