About this service
Our Forest School is a safe and fully enclosed outdoor learning provision with buildings on site. Currently our Prestwich pre-school visit Forest School for 3 full days a a week. From January 2018 our Pre-school will be based here full time.
Here the children will enjoy a mixture of outdoor and in-door education with a focus on using the outdoors to learn, build confidence, increase team work and discover the world.
We have safe access straight out into the neighbouring woodland where we run a variety of activities from nature walks and troll hunts through to den making a stream scrambling. On out site we have building areas, craft areas, mud kitchen, chickens, nature discovery, enclosed pond dipping and much more. In our cosy buildings we have a full kitchen, a toilet and shower block plus a warm and welcoming pre-school room.
Additionally we run school holiday clubs that incorporate fun, learning, movement and imagination. This is based at Forest School and is run by our highly experienced childcare team. We are taking bookings now for our next club but as we work in small groups, places are limited, so get in touch to secure your child’s place.
Based at our Garden site on the edge of a woodland, children will have access to both indoor and outdoor play. This is not just a holiday club, the forest environment provides a space where children can experience something different, be energetic and learn about having fun outdoors.
Different indoor and outdoor activities are planned for everyday ensuring children are kept busy and entertained.
