About this service
For brothers and sisters of disabled children and adults. We support siblings who are growing up with or who have grown up with a brother or sister with any disability, long term chronic illness, or life limiting condition. Sibs provides support for young siblings (aged 7-17 years old), adult siblings, parents/carers and professionals.
Support includes:
information about disabilities or conditions
school resources
news and top tips
online and face to face adult sibling support groups
events such as workshops and courses
adult sibling guides, sibling stories and eBook
Notes
As a small charity, Sibs works to upskill professional workers to better support young siblings who are growing up with a brother or sister who is disabled, neurodivergent, has a long-term health condition, or a special educational need in the UK. Â
This means that we are unable to take on casework or receive referrals for individual children and their families. Â
However, we provide a range of services and supporting information that can help inform you as a professional in your work with siblings and their families.
