About this service
For brothers and sisters of disabled children and adults.
We support siblings who are growing up with or who have grown up with a brother or sister with any disability, long term chronic illness, or life limiting condition.
Sibs provides support for young siblings (aged 7-17 years old), adult siblings, parents/carers and professionals.
Support includes:
- information about disabilities or conditions
- school resources news and top tips
- online and face to face adult sibling support groups
- events such as workshops and courses
- adult sibling guides
- sibling stories and eBooks
Notes
As a small charity, Sibs works to upskill professional workers to better support young siblings who are growing up with a brother or sister who is disabled, neurodivergent, has a long-term health condition, or a special educational need in the UK.
This means that we are unable to take on casework or receive referrals for individual children and their families.
However, we provide a range of services and supporting information that can help inform you as a professional in your work with siblings and their families.
