About this event

Providing a voice for older people within the local community, empowering them to share what matters and enabling them to enjoy life

The ultimate aim of the Bury Older People’s Network is to create better outcomes for older members of the population within the six townships of Bury.

Members of the Network have said:

“To provide a voice for older people within the local community, empowering them to share what matters and enabling them to enjoy life”.

  • Voices for older people
  • Enjoy life
  • Enable people (older adults/ ageing individuals) to live well
  • To do rather than be done to!

The Network is working on an action plan to monitor progress and change; this will be a working document containing input from relevant lead persons.

Upcoming dates

At present, the meetings usually occur on the second Wednesday of each month at the Bury Unitarian Church from 11am to 12:30pm, followed by a cold buffet lunch until 1:30pm (refreshments and lunch are complimentary).
